Dagmar Goodall

Dagmar Goodall Hi, I am Dagmar Goodall. My family moved from Germany to New Zealand in 2005 to settle down in my husband’s beautiful home country. Gulf Harbour School became a place of belonging and a home away from home shortly after our arrival, when our son started his education in year 0. Since 2008 my main role has been to teach English as a second language at Gulf Harbour School. Furthermore I have taught German and Literacy in year 7/ 8 and year 6 and I take care of our international students and their parents.

Teaching is so much more than a job and I feel very passionate about my work. As my area of expertise is teaching language and literacy, I have been part of teams to improve writing in our school. Personally I believe in stimulating, creative and academic learning environments that give students the inspiration and freedom as well as the structures to become successful, livelong learners.

Gulf Harbour School is a unique place and I feel very privileged to work with very passionate and professional colleagues and leaders. As the staff representative on the Board of Trustees I hope to contribute positively by offering a point of view from a teacher’s perspective.
