Gulf Harbour School WAKA challenges are based around our school values of Respect (Manaaki), Responsibility (Tu Tika), Resilience (Tu Kaha) and Kindness (Atawhai). All children from Year 1 through to Year 6 are given the opportunity to be the Difference to Themselves, Others and the World by completing a number of tasks during their own time. All of the tasks have been designed in a progressive manner so that by Year 6 our children are challenged and are serving the local community. Some of the tasks will require some adult help or can be completed as part of a family activity. The successful completion of these tasks is then recognised with a special rosette and certificate at the end of the year.
