Domestic International Families
Gulf Harbour School is a multicultural environment made up of many families, some who have joined us from all over the world. Our Domestic International Families bring great value to our school and make up an integral part of our community. We strive to celebrate all cultures at GHS. To support Domestic International Families we have a designated Parent ambassadors. Karla Gandara
Hi! We are the Gandara Family from Mexico and speak both Spanish and English. We have been living in New Zealand a little less than a year and absolutely love it here!
¡Hola! Somos la familia Gandara. Venimos de México y somos una familia bilingüe, Español e Inglés. Tenemos viviendo en Nueva Zelanda poco menos de un año, lo suficiente para saber que amamos este lugar.
Alia Kapoor
My name is Alia Kapoor. I was born in Bangalore, India. I spent my childhood and most of my young adult life there after which I lived in London for a while. I moved to New Zealand to join my husband. We have lived here for over 15 years now and absolutely love it. We have 2 boys aged 9 and 5. We like the outdoors and hence enjoy travelling, camping, going to the beach, swimming and playing golf and tennis. I can speak Hindi which is the national language of India. But I must confess I’m not the most fluent having lived overseas a lot.

Meryke Groenewald
We are the Groenewald’s from South-Africa. We took our leap of faith in September 2019, when we decided to immigrate to New Zealand. What an amazing journey, with all its highs and lows. We can speak English and Afrikaans and we are looking forward to meeting any new families and sharing their personal journey.
Ons is die Groenewald’s, en ons is van Suid-Afrika. Ons het ons groot besluit in September 2019 geneem om na New Zealand toe te immigreer. Wat ‘n ongelooflike ervaring met sy eie hoogte- en laagtepunte. Ons is Engels en Afrikaans magtig en sien baie uit daarna om saam nuwe gesinne in hulle persoonlike reis te deel.
